President Obama at the Border

Published: May 10, 2011

President Obama went to the border in El Paso on Tuesday and delivered a speech on immigration reform. He didn’t present a bill or issue any executive orders or set deadlines for action. Aides say his goal was to “create a pathway” and “a sense of urgency” to “move forward.” That is a start but not nearly enough.

The speech was right on its merits. The immigration system is a shambles. Millions live here outside the law. Visa policies are too restrictive, cruelly separating families and driving away talented university graduates to other countries. As Mr. Obama dryly noted, “We train them to create jobs for our competition.”

The MP feels that immigrants that become legal citizens and pursue an educational career, should not be deported once they are finished with this career. If immigrnats are going to go to college here, they should be allowed to get a job here upon their completion of college. It makes no sense to send immigrants who are educated here to help another country. These college graduates could be helping our economy rather than another country's. We believe in allowing immigrants to come to our country but they will only have a certain amount of time to become a legal citizen or they will be deported back to their home nation. We are against family seperation at the border. Forget the rest, get with the best. We are the change!

The Refresh Party believes that as long as the student is a legal citizen, they shouldn't be deported after they receive an education. If the person was forced to be deported, the FSA would be benefiting other countries more than themselves. It would be much better for our country to allow the immigrants to stay here once they receive their education. If an immigrant is found to be an alien, however, they will be deported immediately, even if they are still in school. Vote for The Refresh Party on May 23rd, 2011. Refreshing the future, one vote at a time.

Here at WOP we feel that all immigrants should have the same oppurtunities as the citizens of FSA. In order to make sure that all people have the same oppurtunities we, the Wise Ole Party, will make it easier for immigrants to gain citizenship and cut the restrictions on work Visas. WOP will also grant financial aid to any foreign person(s) willing to study and build a career in the Franklin States of America and reside here for at least fifteen years.
