Labor March

The Franklin Times -

The streets of Bordeaux, Irondequiot were filled with the supporters of organized labor today, as the National Workers Union organized a massive show of force. A spokesman for the NWU estimated the crowd number to be 30,000. This number was confirmed by local law enforcement. The march, according to the NWU spokesman, was held to demonstrate the raw strength of their organization and of the labor movement in general.

"It is critically important for our nation and our nation's political parties to realize the will and determination of Franklin workers," explained John Taylor (NWU President in Irondequiot), "Our members will support any party that fights for the common man against corporations driven only by a pursuit for higher profits. We need a government that will stop the outsourcing of Franklin jobs and is willing to fight and protect Franklin's industries."

Irondequiot, the most populous of the Franklin States, is a sympathetic host. This State and its capital, Bordeaux, have lost 70,000 manufacturing jobs in the last five years. A recent Wallup poll also found that 70% of all Irondequiot residents believe the economy is the number one issue.

The Love and Freedom Party would like to express our sympathy for the Franklin workers. The LFP is 100% for the people, and does not approve of money-hungry businesses. If the LFP gets elected to power, we WILL make sure that workers are given their just privelages. Under the LFP's watch, employees will be able to enjoy themselves at work, and the LFP will not tolerate workers getting unfair treatment from their employers.

National Workers Union, we are on your side.

We could not agree more with the NWU members that the economy is the most important issue to be solved in the Franklin States. Only with a strong economy would our government be successful. We are willing to give $2 billion to form a Small Business Association to help entreperneurs introduce new competition to prevent monopoly growing corporations. We are also willing to give $8 billion to small businesses. Only by creating new companies will we provide new job opportunities. We also will give $4 billion toward teaching the unemployed new trades along with $8 billion of unemployment for 5 months as long as the unemployed shows signs of learning the new trade. Money is not a thing to waste in an already failing economy. We hope to provide for the unemployed and create new jobs to try and counteract the outsourcing of jobs!

The (LLP) understands what the citizens of the Franklin States of America are going through. Each of the members of our fine organization have been a part of the work force in their earlier careers. They worked at grocery stores, mowed the neighbor's lawns, whatever it took to make a quick buck. The (LLP) would like to put a stop to the growing unemployment rate throughout the states. If we do not do something now, then there may never be time to do something. We would like to keep minimum wage intact for all of the younger workers. No teenager should be denied equal rights, especially in the work force. Labor unions shall be allowed. They may be formed at anytime given permission from the state that they are residing in. If we can get more jobs to circulate in the states, then we can get our economy boosted, and cheaper prices for the working man. The (LLP) would like to see all of this happen, but without its voter support, none of this would be possible!
Thank you, and God bless you all
