The Franklin Times -
In an effort to reach more voters, our paper has decided to introduce a new issues feature. The concept is simple, our paper will pose a variety of policy questions and simply invite the parties to answer the questions directly through the NEC blog. Without further ado...
1) In the 2007 campaign, FCP leader and current Prime Minister Brent Sexton promised to continue Franklin's membership in the North American Free Trade Agreement. After a heated debate in the National Assembly membership was extended. In light of increasing unemployment, should the Franklin States of America continue its membership in NAFTA?
2) A recent report issued by the National Research Council criticized the current state of the national educational system and recommended legislative reforms modeled after the United State's No Child Left Behind Act. Does your party support such reforms?
3) Recent reports have shown a growing number of Franklin citizens cannot afford heathcare. What role should the government play in providing healthcare for all citizens?

#2.] The Love and Freedom Party feels strongly about children and their futures. The future of the Franklin States of America rests in the hands of our children, so the young adults, adults, and elders of our country should do all that we can to help our children, particularly in the education department. The LFP admires the United States for their No Child Left Behind Act, and would support modeling our education system after the US. The LFP will offer financial benefits to struggling families, including one-parent families and families with unemployment (under certain restrictions.) Funding for struggling schools would be sent to them to help ensure private tutors for any child with learning disabilities, and the LFP will require teachers to stay after a certain amount of time after school for study sessions with their students.
The LFP sees today's children as bright, and feel that every child deserves a chance at education and a future. The LFP looks forward to being here to watch these children learn, grow, and develop into tomorrow's leaders.
Thank you. :]

#1) Our party believes that the F.S.A. should indeed remain part of NAFTA because of the basic reasons in the past. "Exports account for roughly a third of GDP. Franklin enjoys a substantial trade surplus with its principal trading partner, the US, which absorbs more than 50% of Franklin exports. Franklin is the US' fourth largest foreign supplier of energy, including oil, gas, uranium, and electric power." Also, as we have stated before we must remain friends with neighbor countries because they may deem necessary if the F.S.A. was ever to go to war with another nation.
#2) Our party does indeed support reforms such as the U.S. "No Child Left Behind Act." In retrospect to this question, I would like to restate that our party gave $5,000
of our $1 billion granted by the NEC to a charity that deals with kids education first hand. This charity is called The First Hand Education Association.
#3)Our party will require every business to offer healthcare free of charge to all its employees, the states will have a small coverage plan that will cover a basic healthcare. This coverage plan would include unlimited visits to the doctor, 2 eye exams and 3 cleanings for dental a year. Citizens must apply for this plan . This basic package will not include prescriptions and hospitalization. These issues would be provided through the insurance. For those people who are unable to be approved for insurance the government would take that into consideration and will provide things that are urgent to someone's health. Such as hospitalization, chemo for cancer, etc... Prescriptions would be split depending on the price of the medicine prescribed. Only glasses would be covered and there is a total of two pairs per year. Citizens applying must have a job and a current residence. All employers will be required to provide basic healthcare coverage; some may also choose to provide special healthcare plans. Special packages will be given to soldiers in the Hospital and a check every month to the spouse/children of that soldier.

1) Absolutley! The Franklin States of America must remain part of NAFTA. If the F.S.A plans on any sort of trade with America, and any trade with any other atlantic bound countries, than it must remain part of the treaty. We acquire most of our trading dollars from America, roughly 50-60%. America is the leader of this pact, and we must stay on the friendly side of this strong superpower. We will continue to aid countries with our resources, and keep friendships mended for any unfortunate occasion.
2)The (LLP) has looked into the No Child Left Behind Act that President Bush has enforced. Although it is expensive, and sometimes unnecessary, it has risen child graduation rates greately. The (LLP) supports this act because it is a necessary part of our education system. The world has come down to either have an education, or don't survive. If the Franklin States of America want to have a future, our children must rise up and take control. The act would greatly benefit our education system, and improve graduation rates of both the high school, and college level.
3) Government would play a major role in providing healthcare under the ruling of the (LLP). We would provide a plan that would guarantee all citizens a specific amount of healthcare coverage. The citizens would also be able to pay more into the system to get better coverage if they feel they need to. The lives of the citizens are the most important part of the (LLP). The citizens will choose their leaders, therefore the leaders must choose to help the citizens.
Thank you, and God bless you all!

1)Yes, the JRP party strongly believes that the Franklin States of American should maintain membership in NAFTA. Trade among other bordering countries is absolutely necessary for the FSA to build a strong and prospering economy. It is vital for us to establish good relationships with our fellow neighbors. All countries included will benefit from this pact and the FSA cannot afford to not be included.
2)Education is a substantial topic that the JRP feels is highly fundamental to our economy. Children are indeed the future. It is our job now to make sure they are supported in every way possible. However inaccurate or defective the "No Child Left Behind Act" has been, it is still a decent idea. With our help, that idea could be taken to a new level and could become more affective. In order to have a strong future, we should start now in working to help our economy prosper and children are the key to that goal.
3)The JRP has strong feelings towards healthcare. We plan on spending roughly $33 billion dollars in restoring the healthcare for the FSA citizens and making sure that they are taken care of and do not have any worries.
