NEC Announcment

The Capital Courier -

In an afternoon press conference, NEC Chairman J. McFarland announced that his agency had processed and approved the application of five political parties for the 2009 General Assembly election cycle. Chairman McFarland detailed that the five approved parties are the FP, MP, MDP, RKP, and TPP. Besides detailing the approved names, the Chairman also clarified the campaign funding rules and regulations. Parties will become eligible for their public campaign funds once they poll over 5% in the national Wallup Poll. The first poll results are expected later this week. Finally, the press conference ended with the prediction that the parties would be launching campaign websites in the coming days.

The MAD party will make it a high priority to work alongside the media and the NEC, along with their chairman Jim McFarland. We would like to tell the media that we have nothing to hide and wish all of our competition the best of luck in the upcoming election.

To all of the political activists out there or to those curiously reading the computer screen mere inches away from their face, the Fanatical Party would like to remind you that our campaign website will be up and running in the very near future. All members of the party have been diligently conferencing with one another to iron out some of the details on the FP’s policy platform. We strongly believe in keeping the public up to speed on the latest news. The FP will be working closely with the media to make sure its ideas are spread. After all, knowledge is power and we prefer voters to make informed decisions. Therefore, the members of the FP have been dutifully organizing some of the details in their policies in order to present the public with at least a general overview (for the time being) of what the Fanatical Party stands for. Once the party’s website has been established, you can rest assured that the Fanatical Party will have much to say!

There’s an old saying: Ask no questions and hear no lies. But the Fanatical Party would like to ask you “Would you be any wiser for it?” Asking questions is how we learn, how we expand our views. The election process can be confusing, politics can be a hassle, and there will be some candidates who will make promises they don’t intend to keep. But the Fanatical Party is open to any questions you may have, just leave a comment on the party’s website. If you have a question about an issue or require further clarification on the party’s platform, then ASK. The members of the FP would be happy to help you and, even better, you will only receive the truth.
